Maura Kennedy brings 13 years of communications, public relations, media, and marketing to the team. In addition to her role at Kdence, Maura is a contributor and expert panelist at Forbes and serves on the Forbes Communications Council.  

Driven by her love of journalism, Maura takes pride in media strategy, creative storytelling, enhanced crisis communications, and thought leadership efforts. Before joining Kdence, Maura worked for a Philadelphia law firm as its Marketing Director, building up its brand reputation and providing public relations efforts during crisis communication situations. 

Now a reformed journalist, Maura worked for almost a decade as a TV news anchor and reporter, covering breaking news around the country for FOX News, CBS News, and ABC News affiliates. During her time as a TV news journalist, Kennedy interviewed the late Senator John McCain and late Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, reporting live from the Boston Marathon bombing, Sandy Hook elementary shooting, Whitey Bulger trial, 9/11 anniversary, and Barack Obama’s presidential campaign tour. 

Outside of work, Maura volunteers as the social media director with the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta, which is the third largest rowing race in the nation, serves as the Communications Chair of University Barge Club on historic Boathouse Row in Philadelphia, and advocates for women through a local Philadelphia group, Women of the Row.
