With more than two decades of experience in government affairs, strategic communications, and organizational development, Peggy Ellis is a trusted strategist in Washington, D.C. The hallmark of Peggy’s government affairs work is working across ideological and political lines on some of the most challenging, divisive issues of our time.
In addition to her role at Kdence, Peggy is the President and Founder of Ellis and Co., a strategic consulting company located in Alexandria, Virginia. Her work ranges from handling federal, public, and political affairs for Esperanza Inc., a national network of 14,000 Hispanic congregations and community non-profits, to today’s work on an ultra-rare disease that is leading to treatments and cures for millions of veterans struggling with PTSD, autism, suicide and aggressive/obsessive disorders.
Before joining Kdence, Peggy served as a consultant for the U.S. Department of Transportation, where she developed organizational and functional realignment recommendations for Secretary Elaine Chao. Previously, she served on President George H. W. Bush’s transition team and administration, as Cato Institute’s Government Affairs Director and RNC Director of Congressional and Public Affairs.
Peggy has also served on a number of presidential and congressional campaigns – in communications, grassroots, fundraising and as strategic advisor.
Peggy specializes in getting things done – in strategic partnerships, communications, government affairs, business and organization development in both private and public sectors.
