Becoming politically active while attending Iowa State University, Claire represented ISU as a student lobbyist, advocating for various issues on the state level, including medical amnesty laws, which were eventually passed in Spring of 2020.

Claire interned at the Iowa Secretary of State’s office in the communications department before working for Secretary Pate over the course of the 2020 general election. During that time, Iowa achieved record voter registration and voter turnout, along with nearly flawless election day execution.

Claire graduated from Iowa State University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and Political Science, staying politically involved in Iowa and exercising her right to vote whenever necessary.
