Kristin Wileman Sheldon has a proven track record in Republican strategy, content development, brand advancement, storytelling, and strategic messaging. With experience from multiple aspects of federal, state, and local government, Kristin possesses real-world knowledge of the ways legislative and federal policy impacts businesses and families.
Kristin found her start in Republican politics on Capitol Hill where she served as Rep. Kristi Noem’s press secretary and helped lead communications surrounding monumental legislation including tax reform and a Farm Bill. In 2018, Kristin joined the Kristi for Governor campaign where she helped orchestrate grassroots communication through Letter to the Editor campaigns, social media activation, media strategy, and tried-and-true door to door campaigning. After securing the win in extremely competitive primary and general elections, Kristin led communications through the gubernatorial transition and became press secretary for Governor Noem in the Mount Rushmore State. In this capacity, Kristin led speechwriting, media relations, and policy communications for two legislative sessions, setting the groundwork for Noem to become one of the highest-ranked governors in the nation.
Kristin most recently served as communications and marketing director for the U.S. Small Business Administration’s National Office of Rural Affairs, where she developed a network of business and political leaders and created educational materials for COVID-19 relief resources.
Kristin lives in Pierre, South Dakota, with her husband, Ryan, where they are highly engaged in their local church and regional GOP. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, roasting coffee, and playing board games.
