McCain’s professional experience began on Capitol Hill, working for members of Congress and on a presidential campaign during the New Hampshire primary. She applied her political work to communications and marketing positions with both non-profits and businesses, eventually returning to Washington, D.C., to build a ten-year career with one of the largest independent public affairs firms in the country. Her expertise includes leading grassroots field campaigns impacting federal, state, and local policy and managing public affairs field operatives from all fifty states.
McCain has successfully managed teams and individuals for more than 25 years by focusing on what all employees crave: high quality and realizable communication that builds trust, laying the foundation for high-performing teams. She is an adept communicator and collaborative leader with experience managing teams in public affairs, non-profit, political, business, and professional services sectors. McCain joins the team after three years with the American Clean Power Association, where she served as Senior Director of Advocacy, leading ACP’s state coalitions program and national grassroots network in support of clean energy industry priorities
